    Rev. Saji P.C

    Dearly beloved in Christ,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

June is the month of graduation. My salute to all graduates from schools and colleges. I would like to share some positive thoughts for all students especially for the graduating students from our church. The most powerful force in this universe is a positive thought proper-ly used. Outward circumstances or conditions do not determine what our lives become nearly so much as do the thoughts that dominate our minds. No one can ever overcome anything until his thoughts are creative and positive. It is important that you lift your mind to a higher level. Mentally, as you raise your mind above the defeats and conflicts you face, your personality will receive help from God in the form of clear thinking, resolute reaching out toward happiness, deeper understanding, and renewed strength. When your thoughts are in confusion, you live in an unreal world, and you cannot see your way up and out of it. We should lift our mind and thoughts up from our creative unreal world.

An important element in getting your spirits lifted is to empty your mind of all negative thoughts; all hateful, apprehensive, fearful, and evil thoughts. Note how much better you feel, and how your spirits have lifted. You can hardly expect your spirits to soar, when they are weighted down with resentment, self-pity and ill will. If you go around and around in a circle, carrying these negative thoughts, your spirits are held down. So what must we do? We must lift up our eyes unto the high places, getting our minds off destructive attitudes toward other people. We must get our mind off ourselves, our hates, our failures. And our resentments, and lift them up to the high places. We must look fearlessly at all the gloom and remind ourselves that it is not permanent. We must lift our minds to God and let faith pour down into us. Then our spirits will rise like birds on the wing; then life will be fasci-nating and good every day, all our days. In psalms 121: 1, 2 we read, “I lift up my eyes to the hills from where will my help come? My help comes from the lord, who made heaven and earth.”

We should remember all the good God has done for us in the past. We should visualize all the good God will do for us in the future. Mathew 17: 20 says nothing is impossible for you. You have you own limitations. But you believe in your potentials. Whatever you do, don’t spend your life telling the world and yourself that you do not have within you the capacity to live a good life. We cannot conquer the big limitations by your own unaided strength. Faith in God will set us free. He has freed people from shrinking; He has freed them from self-doubt; He has freed them from the sense of inferiority; He has freed them from shy-ness; He has freed them from lusts, from their dishonesties, from sins. He has freed them from limitations of every kind.

Dearly beloved, please believe that, God never willed that you should be less than you can be and we pray for your bright future with God the Almighty.

    May God bless you.

    Yours in Christ
    Saji Achen.
